OBJEKTIF
Menyediakan program-program profesional, separa profesional dan kemahiran untuk menampung keperluan negara pada masa kini dan akan datang, selaras dengan perkembangan ekonomi.

Memberi pendidikan dan tumpuan dalam semua bidang berlandaskan sains dan teknologi untuk menyahut seruan kerajaan di dalam membentuk insan yang sempurna.

Menyediakan peluang kedua di dalam pembelajaran peringkat tinggi kepada anak-anak Malaysia amnya dalam pelbagai bidang daripada peringkat sijil hingga peringkat Pasca Ijazah.

Melahirkan generasi yang sentiasa peka dan melibatkan diri dengan aktiviti-aktiviti intelektual agar menjadi warga negara yang berilmu di dalam menjayakan WAWASAN 2020.
Y.Bhg. Dato' Syed Hussein Bin Abdul Kadir Al-Habshee
Beliau merupakan graduan lepasan Universiti Sains Malaysia. Beliau juga adalah lulusan Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, University of Tufts USA, di mana beliau telah berjaya mendapatkan kelulusan Master di bidang Perhubungan Antarabangsa. Dato' Syed Hussein Al-Habshee telah banyak dianugerahkan pangkat dan darjah-darjah kebesaran sebagai tanda pengiktirafan kebolehan dan kecemerlangan beliau. Pencapaian beliau yang terkini ialah beliau dilantik sebagai Duta Malaysia yang pertama ke Arab Saudi. Di antara pangkat dan anugerah-anugerah kebesaran yang diterima oleh beliau ialah Darjah Paduka Mahkota Johor ( DPMJ ), Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang ( DIMP ), Johan Setia Di Raja ( JSD ), Setia Di Raja Kedah ( SDK ), Darjah Johan Negeri ( DJN ) dan lain-lain lagi.
Dato' Syed Hussein telah dilantik berkhidmat di Bahagian Pengurusan dan Khidmat Diplomatik Malaysia pada tahun 1997. Beliau menjawat jawatan sebagai Pembantu Setiausaha di Kementerian Perhubungan Antarabangsa. Sejak itu kebolehan beliau semakin terserlah. Beliau turut menjawat beberapa lagi jawatan lain yang menyerlahkan lagi kewibawaan beliau. Di antara jawatan-jawatan tersebut ialah, Pembantu Setiausaha di Kementerian Perhubungan Antarabangsa, Ketua Setiausaha di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Rabat, Morocco. Beliau juga dilantik sebagai Kaunselor di Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Moscow, Penasihat Konsulat Malaysia di Jeddah, Arab Saudi dan pada masa yang sama memegang jawatan Wakil Tetap OIC di Jeddah.

Pada waktu ini, beliau memegang pelbagai jawatan penting dalam dunia korporat. Di antara jawatan-jawatan tersebut, Menjadi Ketua Eksekutif Medical Service Coordination International, Pengerusi Malaysia-Gulf Business Council, Pengerusi TQM Consultants Sdn. Bhd, Penasihan kepada Syarikat Ramunia Technology Sdn. Bhd dan Pengarah H20 Sports.

Struktur bulatan yang kami pilih menggambarkan menerima. Warna kuning pula merupakan kebesaran dan kekuasaan Di Raja Malaysia. Warna hijau menjurus kepada agama rasmi Malaysia iaitu Islam. Warna Biru pula menggambarkan perpaduan. Bentuk grafik yang diilhamkan dari seekor burung merupakan gambaran kepada pelajar di mana apabila tamat pengajian kelak, pelajar akan tahu menentukan arah tuju mereka. Bebola merah pula menggambarkan kekuatan & pengetahuan yang ada bagi menentukan masadepan seperti yang dipaparkan melalui cogankata ' Strength Through Knowledge'.

Keseluruhan logo ini, menggambarkan peranan sesebuah Kolej Swasta dalam bidang pengetahuan, pengajaran, penyelidikan dan perkhidmatan masyarakat.
Logo INSTEDT mengandungi lima warna. Logo ini mengandungi beberapa simbol yang membayangkan identitinya sebagai salah sebuah kolej yang beridentitikan sains dan teknologi di negara Malaysia.
